A Message from the Artistic Advisor,

I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the website of the Northwest Festival Orchestra!

As we conclude our second season, we look to the future while recalling our initial achievements.

Responding to the long-held need for a professional caliber symphonic orchestra in the Northwest Suburbs, the Northwest Festival Orchestra as founded in Spring 2006 to fulfill this need for the residents of our communities.

Our inaugural season consisted of three concerts presented in June and November of 2006 and April 2007; these concerts were enthusiastically received and garnered praiseworthy commentary.

Our second season, now concludes with the upcoming Lecture-Demonstration Concert at Harper College's Performing Arts Center on Friday, May 16th at 7:30 PM, promises to continue the tradition of excellence that our audience has come to expect.

Among the goals of the Orchestra are to promote the highest professional level of classical music performances on a regular basis and to support and promote brilliant, young, and talented local musicians and vocal artists.

Ticket prices for these concerts are affordable, primarily to keep the concerts an alternative to the downtown experience and readily available to the public.  

Only 35-40% of operating costs are met through ticket sales; therefore we must rely on generous and significant contributions from individuals, corporations, and businesses alike to continue this noble endeavor.

Your support - both by attending the concert and through your generous contributions - will insure the continued success and perpetuation of this fine young orchestra.
